The leader in shared product development in India initiates its maiden development

MobiPorter, a pioneer and innovator in the mobile (key focus: WAP) industry and a pioneer in the shared product development space in India, is pleased to announce that it has started development of its maiden product initiative.  As mentioned earlier, the Education sector in India had been shortlisted as one of the key focus areas for BOT.  Shared Product Development is not a new concept.  However, the implementation undertaken by MobiPorter, besides providing a clear competitive advantage, is a true partnership-based approach towards shared product development.  For the initial venture, we will be undertaking a multi-stage implementation of a pioneering solution for the Education sector.

Briefly, BOT operates in the following manner.   Initially, the broad parameters for the partnership are finalized.  Subsequently, a broad product strategy is outlined.  This covers:  product roadmap/IP, development, marketing, & finance, among other areas.  As a consensus is reached on these fronts, a level 2 detailing is undertaken.  The consensus building process is undertaken again.  In parallel, work on the core engine of the solution and a market feasibility/validation exercise is undertaken, depending on the need. This and all successive development is typically undertaken in stealth mode until the first initial release of the solution.
