Requirement

Undertake responsibility for complete design, development and roll-out and all IT needs of a medium sized Web-based portal for a leading innovator in the Education sector in India.

Challenge

• A typical brick-and-mortar organization with the utmost basic IT infrastructure.
• Unorganized sector, with very little interoperability between existing solutions
• Low IT awareness
• Chasing moving targets in terms of requirements and priorities.

Result

We employed basic project and risk management tenets to clearly define the scope of the solution across phases.  Got the senior people excited about IT by building high-impact, low-complexity, easy-to-use solutions that addressed some of their pain-points.  Also, built awareness on when to leverage IT.  Streamlined and standarized the IT in the organization. Employed Agile practices for managing rapid application development cycles of 2 to 3 week cycles.
